Mortal Online - Tindrem
The world of Mortal Online boasts many interesting locales, but few as breathtaking as the grand city of Tindrem. Once the center of a far-reaching empire, Tindrem no longer controls the world, but it is still an important trade and cultural center.
Built approximately a thousand years ago, Tindrem is the largest city to be found in the world today and boasts some of the most impressive architecture still standing after the Conflux. The massive colossi of the Arx Primoris, home of the emperor, is the historical and physical center of the city. The magic academy, the Clerus Magica, draws promising mages from throughout the world to study in its hallowed halls. It and the famous lighthouse, the Pharos Maximus, serve as landmarks for visitors and citizens alike.
As a trading center, Tindrem has become a stew of people and cultures. Nevertheless, a few native Tindremenes still hold onto their ancient caste system, though this is of course only popular among those of the higher castes. The city is ruled by the Tricapita, a term which encompasses the Emperor and two appointed individuals from among two of the other highest castes. The city, and, historically, the empire has been ruled in this way throughout Tindremic history.
There is little that can't be found in Tindrem. Though its sheer size can be daunting to a first time visitor, with a little practice you can soon be winding your way among the unique architecture, well stocked market stalls, and varied people of this living monument to an earlier age.
